Hi there. I'm Kristen.

The Flour Girls was created out of my desire for tasty, low-carbohydrate baked goods that weren't filled with artificial ingredients, including sweeteners or soy products.

As a juvenile diabetic, I am constantly searching for things that I can eat which won't cause serious blood sugar spikes. As a foodie, I generally like to eat things that don't taste like dirt. As a mother, I wanted to do something that included my two young daughters, and so here we are!

I have created a gluten-free muffin mix which is very high in fiber and low in carbs while at the same time using REAL organic sugar. We also offer an organic, low-carb, gluten-free pancake and waffle mix that is superb. I am also working to develop a cake and cupcake mix, as well as a low-carb brownie mix. Yum! Our products are tasty and filling, and despite the sugar have a low impact on blood sugar levels.

My daughters are in charge of all the labeling and have done half the selling... They are naturals! It is such a pleasure to watch them learn and grow through this experience.  It has certainly been a learning and growing process for me, too!

We frequent local farmer's markets during the spring, summer, and fall here in Middle Tennessee, and are looking to get into some locally-owned grocers. We have also started providing muffin delivery to a number of local businesses, so if you own a business and are interested in delivery, please let us know!
